There are many mystical elements in Split Blood: The Ancient Codex, not your habitual vampire, werewolf, gang.

Fairies, (an interesting twist) witches, werewolves, vampires, all coagulate to add in this boiling pot of characters.

Forbidden love opposites from different sects, Faith & Rohan set out on a dangerous sequence with all the probabilities against them.

The romantically aspects between Faith & Rohan, nicely woven in you actually feel for the characters.

I have to say Split Blood comes across as an adventurous attempt to add new and different elements to a genre that is slowly wearing thin.

This book takes the obsession with the dark and mystical side to a new dimension in Split Blood: The Ancient Codex fantasy romantic tale.

Hell hath no fury like a woman ruining a good pair of expensive shoes or handbag. A good man may look sweet on the outside but inside he’s superficial to the core.

Vanity overlaps with absurdity which keeps the reader wondering the emotional depths of these characters.

Humorous, clever dialogue, flamboyant characters, entertaining banter, and distinctively creative storytelling with an interesting twist, makes for a charming tale.

 Dollars &  Diamonds is impressive with the sheer witty way in which the author, Paris Jean penned this novel.

Arabelle’s Shadows gives you a peek inside the life of a troubled model plagued with demons.

Arabelle’s struggles to fit in and find her-self all the while struggling not to self-destruct; is a neurotic haunting tale of a young girl seeking desperately to integrate her life into the world of modeling.

Being in one of the most difficult and narcissistic profession’s doesn’t help her “shadows” that are always near forcing Arabelle to succumb to their constant nagging away of her self-esteem.

Arabelle’s Shadows draws you in to the story comparable to tentacles of an octopus latching on to your heart and emotions and suffocating you with the pain of the character.

In the end after the last sentence is read you know you’ve been on a journey with this young woman. You can’t help but to cheer her on wishing her well on her next adventure; growing up and making intelligent adult decisions; finding what real love is and facing her “shadows” once and for all.

Author Fleur Gaskin has performed an outstanding job letting the reader see into the life of a model. Money, fame, prestige, and the all obsession of weight is a high price to pay for something that may or may not bring true happiness and that’s loving ones self.

The Meaning, Self and The Human Potential offers readers a unique and candid look at examining the connotation of life and our potential as humans to understand.

It gives in depth insight in what meaning humans place on their lives and how they conceive their existence.

The author gives us plenty “food for thought” in the many aspects of life breaking down the voluminous components that make us think, feel, and believe.

The Meaning, Self and The Human Potential is astutely written. Author Kristine Millar has done her homework in delivering a very judicious book.

In book number two from The Wardstone Trilogy, Kings, Queens Heroes and Fools the quest continues as Author M.R. Mathias repertoire for creating a memorable tale carries on to new heights and dimensions.

Exotic scenes, numinous creatures give way to magical tales spinning a web of excitement keeping the reader on the edge of his or her seat.

This is a splendid read and you don’t necessarily have to be an aficionado of fantasy to enjoy this book.
